A splendid example of how the Peacock has managed to endure in urban India. These peacocks have been photographed in Tirwa, a township in central Uttar Pradesh.
This is the terrace of the haveli of the former Raja of Tirwa, when Tirwa was a princely state during the British Raj.
Now fallen into disuse, these regal premises are roamed by the resplendent Indian Peacock.
